Statement of Ethics

Noua Revistă de Drepturile Omului is committed to ensuring ethics in publication and quality of articles. Conformance to standards of ethical behavior is expected of all parties: Authors, Editors, Reviewers, and the Publisher.

Editors: Editors should evaluate manuscripts exclusively on the basis of their academic merit, without regard to sex, gender, race, religion, citizenship, etc. of the authors. The editor must ensure that all information regarding manuscripts is kept confidential and must not use unpublished information in the editor's own research without written consent. Editors should respond appropriately and in a timely manner to ethical complaints regarding a submitted manuscript or published paper.

Authors: Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original work. Authors should acknowledge all sources of data used and cite publications that have been influential in the research work. Plagiarism in all its forms is unacceptable. All those who have made significant contribution to the article must be listed as co-authors. The corresponding author must ensure that all the authors have seen and agreed to the final version of the manuscript, its submission and their inclusion as co-authors. If at any point of time, the author(s) discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in the submitted manuscript, this must be reported to the editor.

Reviewers: Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviews must be conducted objectively, and observations should be formulated clearly with supporting arguments, so that authors can use them for improving the paper. In the event that a reviewer feels it is not possible for him/her to complete review of manuscript within stipulated time then this information must be communicated to the editor, so that the manuscript could be sent to another reviewer. Reviewers should report to the editor any possible conflicts of interest.
